Ian Hasslacher

Principle & Director

As a pioneer of the Clean Food experience with Australia's fastest-growing fast-food brand, Guzman Y Gomez, Ian was instrumental in developing their “food stories” - a campaign that successfully connected consumers to farmers that produced their food.

As their former Director of Supply Chain and New Product Development, Ian negotiated over $300m worth of fresh food production and supply contracts as well as launched GYG’s “Clean is the new Healthy” campaign. This campaign had a significant impact on sales across 150+ restaurants.

The objective of CLEAN is to reinvent fast food by offering consumers clean food, made fresh to order with no added preservatives, no artificial flavours, no added colours, or no unacceptable additives.

In taking this further, Ian believes there is a direct correlation between soil health and human health. He has built a business case framework with measurable data/proof points specific to regenerative agriculture practices that brands can leverage to increase customer engagement and drive sales, similar to the CLEAN campaign.

Ian is currently completing the new Regenerative Agriculture degree program at Southern Cross University and he has engaged the very best advisors to ensure the best science is applied at the farm level.

Many agree that connecting soil health to consumer health will be one of the biggest drivers of consumer demand, which is your BIGGEST opportunity.
